1. Who We Are

BolBindass is an AI-powered interview practice tool built and operated as a sole proprietorship based in India. For any privacy queries, contact us at hello@bolbindass.com.

2. What Data We Collect

• Voice recordings — recorded in your browser when you use the mic feature. Audio is sent directly to Sarvam AI for transcription and is not stored on our servers after transcription is complete.
• Text answers — if you type your answer instead of speaking, that text is stored as your transcript.
• Transcripts — the text version of your spoken answers, stored to generate your feedback report.
• Session data — job type, experience level, area of concern, and a random session ID. No name, email, or account is required.
• IP address — collected temporarily for rate-limiting (preventing abuse). Not linked to your session or report.
• Usage analytics — anonymised, aggregated page events via Plausible Analytics (privacy-first, no cookies, no cross-site tracking, GDPR compliant).

3. What We Do NOT Collect

• Your name, email address, or phone number
• Any government ID or Aadhaar details
• Payment card details (handled entirely by Razorpay when applicable)
• Location data beyond country/region (from analytics)
• Browsing history outside BolBindass

4. How We Use Your Data

• To transcribe your voice answers (via Sarvam AI)
• To generate personalised interview feedback (via OpenAI GPT)
• To display your feedback report within the session
• To improve question quality and app experience (anonymised, aggregated only)

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

5. Third-Party Processors

We share your data with the following processors solely to provide the service:

• Sarvam AI (India) — processes your audio for speech-to-text conversion. Per their Terms of Service, Sarvam AI does not use API-submitted audio to train models without explicit opt-in. You retain ownership of your audio. Data is deleted within 30 days of request.
• OpenAI (USA) — processes your transcripts to generate feedback. OpenAI's API does not use API-submitted data for model training by default.
• Railway / Supabase — cloud infrastructure where session transcripts and reports are stored, hosted on secure servers.
• Plausible Analytics — privacy-first analytics, no personal data shared, no cookies.

6. Data Retention

• Audio — deleted immediately after transcription. Never stored on our servers.
• Transcripts and reports — retained for 30 days from session date, then automatically deleted.
• Anonymised analytics — retained indefinitely in aggregated form only.

7. Your Rights (DPDP Act 2023 & IT Rules 2011)

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about your session
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure — request deletion of your session data before the 30-day window
• Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with us directly

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@bolbindass.com with your session ID. We will respond within 72 hours.

8. Children's Privacy

BolBindass is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has used this service, please contact us immediately.

9. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption). We apply HTTP security headers (X-Frame-Options, Content-Security-Policy, etc.) and rate limiting to prevent abuse. No system is 100% secure; we will notify affected users promptly in the event of a data breach.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of BolBindass after changes constitutes acceptance.
